Music with Mommie Opens Class in Surprise Arizona!
Music with Mommie is thrilled to announce the opening of our newest class in Surprise Arizona. Teresa Tally, commonly known as Tess has joined the Music with Mommie family and is teaching one day a week with her 18 month old daughter Claire at the Sierra Montana Recreation Center. Tess launched her class in style as they sang songs from the Farm Theme and dressed up in farm costumes. The kids and moms had a blast.
Music with Mommie is excited to have Tess join the Music with Mommie community. As a new mom to step daughter Heather and daughter Claire, Tess is excited to bring Music with Mommie to her community. As a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN, Tess has taught music and theater to kids and adults of all ages. She is also a seasoned actress, singer, performer, and director. She is the founder and co-artistic director for Stage Struck, a musical theater workshop for kids, and now she is thrilled to be teaching Music with Mommie in her community.
The Surprise Music with Mommie class meets on Mondays at 9:30 am at the Sierra Montana Recreation Center. For more class information, contact Tess at tesstally@yahoo.com.

What is the TRUE meaning of Valentines?
Ever wonder what Valentine's Day is about and where did it originate? Is it just a way for card and flower stores to make money, or is there a real story behind this popular holiday? There are several theories and legends, but most resources will tell you that it is a holiday that was named after a Christian Martyr named St. Valentine.
Whether this story is true or not, the importance of love and sharing love is vital in life. So during this Valentine’s season and in every season of our lives, take a moment to say “I love you”. Show love and affection to your children, spouses, friends, and family and never forget that, “Love never fails” and “Love covers a multitude of sins”. LOVE!
Courage, by Stacy Jagger
Courage is a thing that I sometimes have, and well I sometimes haven't, and I know that was bad grammar. Some days I have the courage to try things that by all sets and standards our culture says, "How dare you." Like living in a non-electric cabin for 18 months, bathing in a converted horse trough, talking to ballroom students while peeing in my outhouse, and watching my husband gun down a flogging rooster. (This was prior to becoming a mother and starting Music with Mommie.)
You know, COURAGE, the kind you get when you decide to birth a child with absolutely no drugs, and heck-why-not-no-hospital-either. (Some think I'm crazy, and then some KNOW I be crazy!) I had the privilege of birthing both of my children at home. Rebekah took 54 hours. Ouch. Luke took two and a half. Ouch. COURAGE. That something that rises up in you that says, "I'm going back to school. Period. I don't care if it kills me." And here I find myself in graduate school, dad-blame it, and I will graduate at the end of next year. The end of next year was comin' anyways. (I am studying to become a Marriage and Family Therapist at Trevecca Nazerene University here in Nashville.)
COURAGE. The thing that allows you to go against the grain, to move into a 100 year old farmhouse with falling down window shutters, terrible landscaping, one nasty bathroom, and a huge hole in the kitchen floor while you are simultaneously seriously pregnant, and toting around a precocious two year old. (Before we tore the thing out I could pee and spit in the sink at the same time.)
COURAGE. To live among the renovations, (Isn't that life for ya?). One year later and by golly we did it. The year went by anyway. Why not? COURAGE.
Eleanor Roosevelt says, "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do."
COURAGE. COURAGE to start a business with no money. COURAGE to believe God is in the revealing, The day by day unfolding of His will for us, and not a day, or an hour sooner. Wonder why?
Maybe it's because He is teaching us COURAGE.
I wrote a poem once in the midst of great trial of terrible heartache, yet I could feel the heartbeat of the Creator as He walked with me in my pain. Here it goes, this one's for you, and me (And ya'll after we finish the Lullaby Record, look out for my Blues Record, it's gonna' be called 'The Post Partum Blues' because Lord knows I've been there!).
"This flower represents HOPE. Hope that I will have the COURAGE to live. Hope that I will remain seen...noticed. Hope that before I die, I will mean something to somebody. Hope that if I am trampled on, I will leave a scent of LOVE and FORGIVENESS. Hope that my life will make a difference among so many lives. Hope that each day will represent a different color, a different shade of GRACE. Hope that I will bear seeds that produce flowers that are beautiful, strong, and always know where the original seed came from. Hope that when it is time for me to fade, that I will fade with grace, and when it is time for me to die, that I will WORSHIP." --Stacy Jagger
Today I wish for you COURAGE and strength to try. For the best way out, is always THROUGH...
Blessings!
Stacy
