Well friends I'm going back to school. Can you believe that? Well it has secretly been in my heart for, hmmm let's see, about 10 years, to get my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and to incorporate my music, and now Music with Mommie, into a marriage, child and family therapy practice. God is not in a box and neither am I! All of the pieces seem to be laying out now, and we'll see how He puts them together to make a beautiful picture!!
I am so thankful for Sara McKelvey, as she is stepping up and will be our teacher trainer and will also be recording our Music with Mommie training DVD, to be released in 2010!! She is a beautiful momma' and has such a heart to see moms and their children bond through music, dance and creative play. God is good!!! Kara Burns is taking over the Spring Hill location and will be offering free classes at the Spring Hill Library in the month of August, right after storytime-- call the library for details. Our new location at the Tennessee Dance Arts Conservatory is so friendly and welcoming and Megan is a fabulous owner. I'm so happy I get to bring my little Luke to class now, as he just turned five months. The colic is over, he is smiling and happy and we are all getting sleep. Ah! Just in time!!
I am enjoying my summer on our little farm in Tennessee. And I can't help but to remember being a little girl myself at Rebekah's age, as I loved to sing and dance around the house with my mother, and now she is doing the same. Does a heart good.
I am looking forward to seeing where God takes Music with Mommie, as this is His business, not mine. I am just a steward, and where it goes is up to Him.
I am so grateful I am almost finished with my original curriculum and will now be writing a Music with Mommie Sunday School class! Music with Mommie Sunday School for preschoolers and their mommas (and daddas) is going to be so much FUN!!!
Stay cool everybody- and remember, when life gives you lemons, take them down to your local Music with Mommie class and make some lemonade (to the beat of course)!
